Rev. Innocent was ordained to the transitional diaconate on November 2nd, 2017 by The Rt. Rev. Dr. Todd Hunter, Bishop of the Dioceses of Churches for the Sake of Others. A transitional deacon is the first step to priesthood, Rev. Innocent is in Seminary to continue preparing for Ordination to the priesthood in the Anglican Church in North America. Innocent began the work of starting Igbo Anglican and will one day be its Rector. Currently Innocent works full time, is a husband and father, attends seminary, and leads Igbo Anglican. He is a busy person.
Innocent immigrated to the United States in 2009 and attended St. James since 2012. In the fall of 2013 he was joined in the United States by his wife Udochukwu (Peace) and son Chinemeze. In November 2014, they were blessed by the birth of their daughter Chinazaekpere and in January 2017, their daughter Chinemenma. Before immigrating Innocent was very active in the Anglican Church of Nigeria where he organized and led several University Groups.
Rev. Innocent is a passionate preacher with a deep love of the Bible and a heart for people seeking a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Worhsip at Igbo Anglican reflects his enthusiastic and joyful personality.
